CONDITIONS REPORT
Hiking, fishing, camping in the Cascades
We’re in for a hot one with temps climbing into the triple digits this
weekend, so escape to the higher elevations to get a few degrees cooler.
With plenty of lakes, forest trails, cold streams and rivers and even
snow lingering on the mountains, there are lots of places to beat the heat.
Remember, if a trailhead or day use area is full, have a backup plan and only
park in designated areas. A few of the higher, more -well -loved trailheads also
require the Central Cascades Wilderness Permit, so make sure you snag yours
before your trip up.
