Area professionals offer tips to
help you improve on the golf course
BY SCOTT BARTON • For The Bulletin
sk any of Central Oregon’s seasoned professionals or golf course employees
and they will tell you they are thrilled by the number of new faces they are
seeing on a day-to-day basis.
The scene plays out read-
ily on the area’s driving ranges
and practice greens. The cast
of characters includes diehard
grinders, women and children
that are new to the game, and
the young couple that’s trying
to learn the game together. The
sight is yet another sign that
golf is no longer a game re-
served for just the elite. Instead,
it’s become an outdoor activity
that everyone can enjoy.
While the boost in interest is
a positive sign, the advice that
is passed back and forth is not
always the best. Just ask Nate
Kitt, area PGA professional and
founder of the Modern Golf
Club.
