The baby weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and has been named Robert Alan. Tall Pines Extension Unit will meet on Thursday, November 21, at 10 a.m. with Mrs. Harlan Buckingham, U.S. Highway 97 North, as hostess. The program will be "Twelve Days of Christ mas." Mrs. Robert C. White and four children, who have been visiting in Bend with her par ents, Col. and Mrs. Cliff Gers bach, will leave this week for the East, where Mrs. White will be joined by her husband, an Air Force sergeant presently stationed in Germany. The fam ily will go by air from McGuire Air Force Base to Europe. Mrs. Gersbach is accompanying her daughter East, and will visit her family in Glenolden, Pa., planning to return to Bend in early December. Mrs. Gers bach is a member of the Des chutes National Forest clerical staff. City Commission meets tonight Three street improvement resolutions, two zoning ordi nances and a request to raise monthly residential television rates will highlight tonight's Bend City Commission meeting at city hall. Fire officials said only a few employes were In the building at the time the blaze started. No one was injured although ine Duuaing appeared to be a total loss. The fire was believed to have started in the office area of the morning newspaper which has an audited weekday circulation of 25,893 and a Sunday circu lation of 25,694. No estimate had yet been made of damage caused by the fire which broke out shortly be fore dawn. Tentative plans were being made to establish temporary newspaper offices In the Hotel Sahara on the Strip.
