iors will march across the stage
at Redmond Union High School
Tuesday evening to receive their
high school diplomas from Dr.
John F. Dorsch, chairman, and
Priday Holmes, members ol the
school board.
The high school band will begin
the program at 8 p.m. with the
playing of "Land of Hope and
Glory." The invocation will be
said by the Kev. Francis Mc
Cormack. Judith Fay Ferguson and Anne
Louise Windsor, who tied for sa
lutatorian honors, will share the
platform for presentation of the
traditional salutatory address.
Valedictorian Edward Michael
McKrill will speak after annual
awards and scholarships are pre
sented. Joe Nevart will announce
the winner of the American Le
gion plaque-, Mrs. Samuel S. John
son, TEO scholarship; Vernon
Patrick, Cent - Wise scholarship:
Everett Reynolds, VFW attend
ance award; Clayton E. Norton,
scholarships and other awards.

teenagers were hospitalized and
two others received out patient
treatment as a result of an auto
mobile accident Saturday at 11:30
p.m. on the Tumalo-Sisters High
way. '.
Said to be in good condition at
Central Oregon District Hospital
are Larry Pankey, 18, and. his
brother. Eric, 16, sons of Mr. and
Mrs. V. E. Pankey, 336 South 4th
Street, Redmond.
Nona Gatchell, 16, daughter of
the C. L. Catchalls of Tumalo,
was treated for shock by a Bend
physician. Jim Wilkinson, 18, son
of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilkin
son, Redmond, received treat
ment tor minor injuries at Cen
tral Oregon District Hospital.
Eric Pankey, said to be the dri
ver, told his parents the mishap
occurred when . another motorist
pulled in front of him at the High
way 97 junction and failed to
move into the proper Jane.
Pankey said he was forced to I
the wrong side of the road, where I
the car rolled over twice down
a 15-foot embankment, landing up
right. The vehicle, owned by Mr.
and Mrs. Pankey, was extensive
ly damaged. '
The youths were picked up by a
passing motorist and brought to
the hospital.

shoulder Sunday when his polo
pony stumbled during a match
here.
Philip was thrown to the ground
while a crowd of nearly 10,000
spectators watched. Queen Eliza
beth left the grounds five minutes
before the accident occurred.

Vagrant gets
$25 court fine
Largest assessment in munici
pal court session Friday evening
was a $25 fine plus court costs
paid by Stanley Stevens Stybert,
Davison, Mich., for a vagrancy
charge.
A second vagrant, Brooks Beal
Crawford, Glendale, Calif., re
ceived a suspended sentence pro
vided he leave town.
Dennis Eugene Harrington, a
minor living at 212 E. Irving, was
sentenced to 30 hours labor in the
municipal parks for driving while
his license was suspended.
Forfeiting $10 bail plus court
costs was Wilma Lauoune Bur
gess, LaPine, tor operating a ve
hicle on the wrong side of the
street.
Other forfeitures were received
from Charles White, 1413 McKin-
ley, $4 and costs, for two counts
of overtime parking, and Ken
neth Brazelius, 61S Columbia, $2
and costs for overtime parking.
CITATION ISSUED
Michael Harry Wilkins, 19, of
707 Kearney, was cited by Bend
city police Sunday on an after
hours charge. He posted $22.50
bail.

Four motorists collected traffic

weekend.

for failure to operate a vehicle to
