of live and recently dead (sound
sapwood) timber are: 6,100 M
board feet of ponderosa pine

able bid per M board feet is as
follows: ponderosa pine and
western white pine, $16.30,

for ponderosa pine and western
white pine, $1.00 base rate plus
an additional $1.45 for white fir

slash disposal for all species.
The stumpage rates payable for
each species will be increased
by the amortization rate in ef

unamortized estimated cost of
the main haul roads has been
amortized bv Umber scaled.
The unamortized estimated cost
is $31,620. Amortization rates
are: ponderosa pine and west
ern white pine, S6.03 per M
board feet, white fir and other
species. $0.75 per M board feet.
Amortization of estimated main
haul road costs is computed on
80 per cent of the estimated
timber volume. In addition
there is within the sale area an
unestimated volume of older
dead (unsound sapwood) logs.

species are lower than the base
rates, the difference between
the total dollar value of the
timber cut at adjusted rates
and at base rates will be re
corded for each species. The
stumpage rates for any spec
ies will not be increased above
the base rate until the subse
quent adjusted rates above base
rates develop an accumulated
total dollar value in excess of
the recorded accumulated dif
ference for all species. Sealed
