In an effort to complete construc
tion of tho Union Oil n.o, tankago
and wnrchouso plant by Juno 1, at
which tlmo tho company wishes to
commanco actual operations here, C.

ent, has nt work a crow of 22 men,
and will Increase tho number as soon
as materials arrlvo In sufficient
quantity to mako It practicable.
Foundations for the flvo tanks,
each of 20,000 gallons capacity, and
for tho warehouse, 40 by CO feet lu
dimensions, the garage, with room
for six trucks, and tho office, are all
being constructed, and concrete was
poured Monday.
The warehouse is in the northwest
corner ot tho lot recently purchased
from the Drooks-Scanlon Lumber
Co., and fronts both on tho new spur
track which woo constructed last
wock, and on tho Dallen-Callfornta
highway, directly across from tho
Ilond Iron Works plant. Tho offlco
and garage also front on Scott street,
tho approach to tha highway, whllo
tho tanks aro on higher ground and
closo to tha spur track, thora being
room for a pump houso between.
Tbrco of tho tanks will bo used
for storing gasollno, ono for distil
lato and ono for kerosene Watson
stated. Other tanks may be erected
later. Tho. warehouse and Kara go
will bo built ot corrugated Iron. A
woven wire fence will enclose tho
entire plant.
