Soltz, supervisor of the Cascade National Forest, with head quarters at Eugene, was In'liend Sat urday on business. Lewis Seeley returned from Chlco, California, last night. He was gone three weeks driving trucks to and from San Francisco. R. P. Shire, of Redmond, passed through town Saturday night in h's big car, bound for Crater Lake. Mrs Shire accompanied him. Jay Cook, superintendent of the farm for the feeble-minded at Salem, and hia foreman, L. D. Fields, are in Hend looking over land. Dr. V. II. Day, of Chicago, is in Culver today.
