rived In Fort Rock In time Monday
to assist In tho organization of a
stockmen's association, while n sim
ilar organization was perfected nt
Fremont on tho day following, Mr.
Hastings reported today on return
ing from tho trip. Somo 200 head
ot cattlo are represented In tho Fort
Rock association, and 300 at Fre
mont. Officers for tho Fort Rock assoc
iation Include Matt Rabcr, president;
R, L, Noel secretary; Peter Rubor,
Harry Crampton, Charles Erdman,
II" A Crampton and Matt Ruber,
mombcr. of tho advisory board.
Fremont officers aro John Glaze,

made regarding tho happenings at

it Is duo tho hotel, tho public and

bring any who might liavc violated

nro not truo it will certainly voinovo

associated with the said Sheffield In
his illegal acts; that, as a matter of
fact, I never received from said Shot
field, directly or indirectly, any In
toxicating liquor whatsoever, nor did
I know or hare reason to bellevo that
he was handling or disposing of such
liquor, though on a recent occasion
I did see him In an Intoxicated con
