It was doclarod that four of tho city's fire laddors are now in Rodmond, and Chief of Police L. A. W. Nixon was Instructed by the mayor to recover thorn. Council man Edwards was asked in regard to tho matter, but could furnish no information as to how tho laddors wore taken out of tho city. A few minutes after tho putting of McKay's motion referring the purchasing question to tho committee, tho meet ing adjourned.
