bridge over the Deschutes river on
the llend-I.itldlaw road to bo unsafe
nnd dangerous for trnvel nnd In need
of Immediate repairs; and whereas,
tho Coast llrldge Company hns a
suitable bridge ready for Immediate
delivery; be It resolved that n con
tract be entered Into with the said
Const llrldge Company for the pur
chase of snld bridge on the following
terms; For steel span (125 ft. by 18
ft.) $3200 ; for steel foundation
tubes 114c per pound, F. 0. II. Port
land; for erection of span, $IIiO: for
netting and lllllng tubes with con
crete, actual cost or labor nnd ma
terial; payment to bo nmdo for
bridge May 1st, 1917, without Inter
cut from date.

activity of Bonanza, 25 miles cast of
this city, In securing un extension of
tho proposed Strahorn. railroad from
Dairy, a distance fo sevon miles, wns
evidenced at a recent mooting with
George B. Keeler, representing Keel
er Brothers bonding house of Den
ver, at Klamath Falls. Bonanza pro
poses to bond for $20,000, which Is
20 per cent of Re assessed valuation,
nnd asks Keeler Brothers to hnndle
the election. An offer wns made its
commltteo to undertako this work
with no chnrgo for services If tho
election carries and Keeler Brother
ate successful bidders or $500 for
legal services If tho election falls.
Several charter amendments will bo
