RAILROAD SITUATION GOOD
IokH Forunril With Satisfaction To
Thing That Aro Coming to Inter
ior Town Warns Old Timers.
(Silver Lako Leader.)
Tho local railroad situation Is pro
gressing nlcoly nnd tho surveyed
lines, ln every direction of tho com
pass, tho wyo lines, house-track lines,
etc., within tho limits of towns, nil
look tremendously good.
Of course there may yet bo minor
changes, which Indeed thero probably
will bo but tho fact that wo aro going
to. bo a junction point, with the added
Interests of a division point, termin
als, roundhouses, shops nnd all such
things which follow, Is certainly food
for tho profoundest Imagination of
what may and will como to Silver
Lake
It Is plainly vlslblo that now and
wide awako blood will need to tako
hold of our sagebrush lands and do
velop them, but this Is simply a re
petition of all other places tho
slcopy old timer goes to sleep nnd tho
newcomer arrives nnd "swipes" It.
It has been predicted from tho stnrt,
both by closo observers on the out-
sldo nnd many land owners Inside tho
Unit who were nnxlous for Irrigation,
that tho first petition would go by
dofnult, but It probably a great bless
ing In disguise, for thero In nlrendy
nu nwakenlng nnd Bomo eye-opening
nnd' beforo another movo Is mado
thero will probably bo somo mighty
