Tho question has often been put to

with vory llttlo consideration for tho
so-called "fishing season." Rig fish
pan bo taken rom the Deschutes tho
year round.
Even today but comparatively fow

paradlsa this wild stream really is.
Tumbling from tho high mountain
meadows and draining a myriad of
crystal lakes nt tho very top of tho
Cascades, tho Deschutes river rushes

And so tho dny ndvnncc9. You

During tho heat of tho day tho fish

shade of tho willows. In tho after
noon they move moro lelsuroly across
to tho shady side, and If you happen
to bo on tho wrong side of tho r-lvor,
then you had best crawl under tho

fishing will tax your strength nnd
