eration and maintenance of the Tum
alo Project waa presented In the
House of Representatives by V. A?,
Forbes, of Dend, on Wednesday. 'A"
presented, the hill Is for the amend
ment of Chapter 110 of tbe General
Laws of 1913, under which the p re
ject was constructed. It has boea
prepared in consultation with scttleraL
on the project, with the members "or
the Desert Land Hoard and tho re
tiring project engineer, and repre
sents the best thought available oh
the subject.
The sections of the old law which
are amended by the bill are numbers
two. three and seven. Section eight
Is repealed, neeauie of the neces
sity of Immediate arrangements for
operation and water storage an emer
gency la declared to exist which re
moves the bill from aay chance of a.
referendum.
