taking mo away from Bond, does
not In any way mean that my Inter
est In tho town, financially or other
wise, will lesson In tho slightest de
gree. I shall continue to Invest what

ity upon questions of public inter
est, nnd Its worth to the community

letin, over four years ago, I have
never Japeed Into the first person on
this editorial page. This, in a way,
1s a direct statement to The Bulle
tin's friends and Its enemies! be

paper has done Its best for Bend.
So long as I retain ownership and
I firmly expect The Bulletin will be
one of the assets listed In my last
will and testament It will be con
ducted with no other policy. And,
naturally, I shall be grateful If i's
friends continue to favor It with their
genorous patronage, and It they will

day evening In a very tragic manner.
Ho was employed on the Jim ItlklnV

Mr. Olson was struck on the heid

stantly, one horse also being kil'ed

vestlgate. Tho coroner was called '
but decided that no Inquest was
necessary. Mr. Olson la from Den
mark and had recently purchased the
Henry Schumacher place where ho
resided alone. Llttlo Is known of his
relatives and It ts believed that ho
has none In America.
