pickles, Mrs. Branton and Mrs. Mc
Klnney, antique display. Mrs. Taylor
and Mrs. Towne. knitting. Mrs, new
man and Mrs. Berry, flowers. Mro.
Ruble, butter, Mrs. Huntington and
Mrs. Branton, baby show. Mm.
Towne. A collection of $13.50 was
then taken to get prizes for some dis
plays unprovided for. It was voted
to give a prize for the youngest baby,
tho oldest lady and the oldest man
attending the fair.
The ladles were then Invited by
their hostess to the dining room
where refreshments wero served. Tho
rooms were decorated with a profu
slon of pink and whlto carnations
and potted ferns. Mrs. McKlnney
waa assisted by her daughter, Violet.
A vote ot appreciation was tendered
the hostess.

POWELL BUTTE. Aug. 10. Mrs.
S. D. Mustard, who in company with
Mrs. W. G. Mustard and children are
visiting rclntlves in Spokane, has
written Mr. Mustard that she Is feel
ing Improved In health and that they
are having an enjoyable visit.
Geo. 8. Beckman Is in receipt of a
letter from relatives ot John Paul
son to the effect that Mr. Paulson
died at Minneapolis on July 18th.
This news will be received with re
gret by Mr. Paulson's many local
friends.
Lloyd Bussett. who has beon quite

A. II. Olanchard. of Tacoma, who
has been at the Truesdale home for
the past two weeks, left for Redmond
and other points Friday. Mr. Bian
chard Is looking for a location and
likes our section very much.
Mrs, D. A. Yates royally entertain

ular meeting of that club Wednesday
afternoon. A pleasant time was
had, the hostess serving refreshments
