Perry was called to Waterloo, Iowa,
by a telegram announcing tho death

with C. L. Hlntnan. on Hampton
Butte, cut hfcs foot Vtery badly with
nn ox. While attempting to cut a
limb tho axe caught overhead and de
flected the course of the blow. The
cut Is between tho second and third
toe, and a gash on top of the foot t
over four Inehes long.
This locality was visited by a very
high wind on January 1C and 17. So
far as learned no damage was done.

40 mllepost on the Bend-Burns road,
was calling on friends in this vicinity

tended school meeting was held last
Saturday for the purpose of electing
a director to sonre out the unexpired
term of Jos, L. Rlngo. Mr. Ulngn
intends to be in Klamath Falls dur

tendered his resignation. Walter
Smith was elected to the office.
