On tho canal Itself most of the concrete lining Is In where excavation has lx?eu made. Just now men are blasting through the rock to connect tho canal with the headgale. the only canal excava tion remaining, which will be com pleted by Nov. 15. The concroto work at the hcadgato Is In. A pool or head bay Is being built just below the dam. on the east side, through which will pass the water Tor Ihc Swalloy flume. With the acquisition of this, Mrs. Wright has a hostelry of 28 rooms with hot and cold water and 10 with out but otherwise modern, with elec tric lights, etc. The stone block owned by D. A. Itoyd and Marley b. Simpson Is occu pied. Where the Star dlolngroom was will be the hotel office and lobby; the New Taggart dlolngroom will be the new dlolngroom, and the New ITaggart .offloo will be a sainpleroom.
