The llend booth by day vraa by far tho handsomest In Seattle. Decorated throughout with blue and gold, the colors of tho Emblom Club, It was filled with fresh flowers, pictures, literature, exhibits of Ucnd products and grains and grasses; and tho entire back of the booth outside was a six-foot water-color, a birds eye view of Ucnd and tho mountains from tho top of Pilot Dutto. By night It was even moro strik ingly superior to any other booth at of the Ktnbletu Club. Over 70,000 pieces qf literature wcro distributed from this booth, most of them accompanied by a per sonal talk with tho receplent by one of these Ucnd workers clad In the Seattle colors of whlto and gold, so that this Immense quantity of I lend printing went to peopla who were actually Interested In llend. Among the great mass of discarded folders et cetera with which tho streets woro In-) littered at midnight each night, the most careful search failed to dis close any lend folders or any Ucnd Bulletins. Tho people carried them home. , Moro than 1000 strangers regis tered their names and addresses at tho booth; and more than 1000 copies of tho Development Number of Tho bulletin were given to them . Spokane, Portland, Tnconta and many other- towns had delegates at tho Pottatch; but It Is tho consensus of opinion that llend made moro In delible Impression on tho Potlntch throngs than did all other visiting towns combined.
