Morris Lara , as president of the Commercial Club, la an ex-ofllclo member of the com mittee. Definite Plan Soon. Exactly what will bo "doing" is as yet. of course, not settled. Through correspondence the committee is feel ing out various possibilities, among which aro offers from aeroplane fly en, one of whm it is possible may be brought here. If so, this would be the first bird-man flight ever wit nessed in tho Interior, and would at tract a particularly widespread Interest. Baseball, of course, will form a part' or the run. With a Bend team organizing, with sound financial backing and a good lot or material to pick from, there undoubtedly will be at least one good game and per haps two, In connection with the celebration. The managing committee of the baseball team has taken tip the matter of a Fourth of July game with Prlnevllle and other county teams. Failing to mako connections with one of these, it already is In receipt of several attractive offers from good Portland nines. Among other attractions it Is prob able a good speaker will be secured, with probably log rolling, horso rac ing, bucking contests, obstacle canoe races, etc. Last year thiro was no celebration aero, everyone helping out at Prlno Mlto'a good time. It Is expected that this year, especially In vtow of the fact that llond kept out of tho run ning last season, many count)- Rontons will bo on hand to enjoy the run hero.
