matism and his money had been all
spent for modloal aid. Tho nolgh
Ikiis thought It their duty to help
her so they had tnu got up an enter
tulument for her benoflt- Thoro
was a committee of four appointed
to get tho printing dono and to sell
tho tickets. Tho commlttco was:
George Hlgglnson, J. D. Wlmer,
Charles Spaugh and myaolf. John
Wlmer was appointed corresponding
secretary, a. V. Horner treasurer,
and It foil to mo to go to llond to
sell tlckots. I found many goqd
cltUons willing to glvo their support
nnd for tho short tlmo I wob In
llond I collected tho nlco little sum
ot $32.00.
Tho ontortalnment was given on
Fobruary 10 and wo ralsod $11700.
The money was all turnod over to
a. W. Horner ot Lnldlaw on tho 11th
of February. John Wlmor, Mr.
Spaugh, Mr. Hornor and Mr. Ilassel-
borg, for whoso wlfo tho benoflt was
given, and myself mot In Mr.
Hornor a store to docldo Just what

for tho monoy. It was finally agreod
that Mr. Hatsolborg go out and
bring his wlfo homo und troat her
thero, as ho had faith In tUp mineral
treatment of Montana. He had
mado arrangements with H. W.

monoy was deposited In tho Dank ot

tho first half ot tho month but that
on the 15th It had nearly all disap
peared excopt In shady places. Tho
last halt of tho month was fine. The
precipitation during the 31 days
amounted to 1.30 Inchos. Tho low
est tomporaturo was 0 above xero
on tho 3rd and tho highest G8 on the
31st
There were only 12 clear days,
which Is far below tho average. Tho
cloudy days numbered 4. the partly
cloudy 15. This made a' total of 27
days with suushlno.
