The reason why the adoption ot
this name is particularly desirable Is
that when tho Oregon plno gets Into
the Eastern and Middle Western
markets, ns It Is now doing upon an
ever-Increasing scale, It suffers in
value If called yellow pine.
Confused With Southern Product
Tho markets ot tho Middle- West
regard everything styled "yellow
pine" as they do tho yellow plno of
tho Southern States. This Southern
yellow ptno Is greatly Inferior to tho
Oregon lumber. It Is far heavier,
far pitchier and is practically useless
tor shop lumber. On an average It
is worth probably 25 per cent less
than tho Oregon plno, say lumber
