NOT CANDIDATE AGAIN
DiMiIct Attorney WIImiii Announce!
lie Will Not be In llnrc.
To tho Bdttor of Tbe Uullotln:
Since It is but n short time until
the announcement of candidates for
vaiious oinees at tbe coming primar
ies will havo to be made, and know
ing that the candidacy of some
parties for tho otlleo of district attor
ney dopondg upon whether or not I
uhould again deslro to be a candidate.
I deom It but fair to such aspirants,
and any others, to definitely an
nounce that I will not be a candidate
for nomination at the coming primar
ies. I'ressure of prlvato business Is
uueh that I feel that a sacrlflco of
such business must lie made, or the
duties of tbe district attorney's offlco
would not receive that close atten
tion which they desorvo and demand,
and for that reason I havo come to
tbe above conclusion.
In making this announcement. I
trust It Is not out of placo to express
my sincere and heartfelt appreciation
to those who havo given mo their
loyal support and words of oneour
MKHinetit during the time I havo per
formed the duties of tho district at
torneyship, whleh at times havo been
bornowhat arduous, and 1 trust that
my successor, whoever ho may be,
will enjoy this pleasant association
and co-operation to tho same full ex
tent as It has been given mo.
