Six hundred and twenty-five thousand black spotted trout are being held at the Honneville hatch ery, all of which will be released In thu various waters of the Htate as soon as the N)ecial tanks that are being constructed are completed and the little I'ihIi are old enough to take care of themselves. Those trout eggs were secured from the Yellowstone country, where they were taken by the Government. This release of trout is especially designated to assist in the re-stocking of several of the streams of the State. Under authority of the Suite Fish and Game Gitnmission, Warden Finley has been instructed to designate the waters into which the trout will be liberated. Under the state law, any stream may be closed by the commission for a leriod, for the puriwso of re-stocking or protecting fish. To entail as little hardship as po.tsihlc upon the anglers of the sUite, the State Game Warden be lieves that some of the upper small tributaries of the rivers of the state would lx the best grounds for the trout. These tributaries will then be closed for two or three yenrs, nnd at the expiration of that time opened again, when the fishing in the main streams will be unex celled. It is believed that in that time, the trout will be able to propognte nnd mature sufficiently to amply re-stock the main river. It will be the policy of the warden to make the distribution as wide as possible, closing small tributaries in all parts of the State. A year hence, the same plan will be fol lowed, so that after three years, many new streams will be opened for fishermen every year. Visit TiTe NEW STORE and learn the advantages of trading hero.
