train out of here Among the
pouches was ono containing copies
of The Bulletin going to distant
subscribers.
The first mail to come in by mil
arrived Friday evening. The Port
land morning papers now reach
here the same day of publication.
Letters mailed in that city early in
the morning reaclt hero the same
day but are not distributed until
the next morning. Heretofore it
has required five days to get a reply
to letter from Portland. Now a
letter mailed here on Monday morn
ing with n 8iKcial delivery stamp
attached will be delivered in time
for an answer to get back here
Tuesday evening, reaching the ad
dressee early Wednesday 'morning,
or about 50 hours after the letter
was mailed here to the Rose City.
The mail stage continue to run
between Culver, Prinevllle and
Bond. A change will be made
shortly, however,
