It is estimated by Engineer Stan burrough that about 151,000 gal lons of water passes through the pumping station of the local water plant every day. Of this amount approximately 24,000 is used in sprinkling the streets. ' Reckoning on a basis of a 1100 population, this means that Bend uses in the neighborhood of 137 gallons per head.
