' Chas. L. Wimcr was doinjr busi ness in Bend yesterday. I John B. Winter is expecting his wife in from Grants l'nsa and they will take up their abode in Laidlaw for the summer. John is kept busy looking after the intcrests'of the Oregon, Washington & Idaho Fi nance Co. in these parts. The Star ranch has been busy lately sowing land plaster. They use about 50 pounds per acre. Mrs. L. J. Wimcr has returned from Grants Pass and Valley points where she has been visiting relatives &nd friends for several months. The Tumalo people have gotten up a subscription to raise means to rcpsir the Tumalo road from this place to Bend. It seems the county il too poor to have the roads re paired, more especially roads in these parts. REVIVAL AT LAIDLAW. ' Laidlaw, June 13. Evangelists Gregg and Webb of the Christian Church have been conducting a successful revival meeting in Laid law. Mr. Gregg did a splendid work in this county two years ago and is now ably assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Webb, experienced sing ing evangelists.
