Ho is an oxicrienced man in tho mercantile business, hnving been in tho employ of Mr. McCuis ton for seven years in Memphis, Hugh O'Knno, proprietor of the Hotel Bend, hns purchased through Thompson & Kennedy a handsome sot of qunrtor-sawed oak and leather upholstered furniture to bo placed In the hotel parlor and lobby. Tho suite consists of sotteo, davenport, three rockora and one dozen chairs. Last Thursday a party was given at tho homo of Mrs. H. E. Allen to celebrate the fifth birthday of Harriet Heyburn.
