It is understood that J, B, Mon tague has ordered :50,000 feet of lumber to be used in the construc tion of his new building at Harper. A. L, French of Berid has pur chased property in Harper. He ex pects to establish a Branch Store there ultimately. G. P. Putnam has purchased two lots at Harper. M. L. Bagley of New York has purchased two lota in Harper with the intention of going into business there in the near future, If you want a Homestead with water, see the-Harper Land Co. on Wall Street. F. M. Henriksen, representing the Eastern Oregon Brewing Co. of The Dalles, has purchased two lota in Ifarper. He expecta to establish a cold storagw plant there. J. B. Montague has the contract for the building. Bids will be received up to twelve o'clock noon April 1, for the con struction of a city hall at Harper, Oregon.
