John Slscmore was one ol the
best know citizens of Gcutrul Of
cgon. He came to the Deschutes
in 18S1 and from that lime occu

lie owned considerable property,
Mr. Siscmore wai born in Ken
tucky iu 1835. In 1853 he con
eluded to move west. He spent
that winter in Utah mid thru moved
on to California, whcie he located at
Placcrville. lie always had a keen

home business and in Utnh he sup

For a long time Mr. Sisemorc
had serious organic heart trouble,
which, it is presumed, finally pro
duced death. He left Hcud in
