tion be called to its contents. The
circular, under the caption "A Plea

vital necessity of keeping the
streams, whence comes the
country's drinking water, free from
contamination. In part, the
"Plea" is as follows:

Forecaster Beat's clitnatological re
port upon the Deschutes Valley,
much of. whose subject matter was
published in the issue of June 15
The report is in the form of an ex
tract reprinted from the Monthly
Weather Review. It is fully illus
trated with a map aud photographs,
and contains valuable and accurate
information and statistics concerning
the climatical conditions of this sec
tion, Upon receipt of postage The
Bulletin will be glad to mail this
paper to interested parties.
Better Road to Slaters.
According to Judge Ellis the
work oi putting the Bcud-Laldlaw-Sisters
road in first-class shape
for automobiles will be undertaken
nt once. A man will be sent over
the route to remove all the stones
and high centers which now inter
fere with cars of low clearance.
Otherwise the road is in spleudid
condition.
