John Curlcss, formerlr of romcroy,
Wash., ha compiled a few itatlstlc re
garding other from hi town who have
located in and near lleud, which he will
furnish to hi home paper. Mr, Curlcss,
by the way, Is an enthusiastic' admirer
of thl country, and I particularly sat
isfied that he ha come here because re
port from romcroy indicate that on ac
count of drought in that section but so
per cent of the usual wheat crop will be
harvested.
Among the Pomeroylte hereabout are
Mr. and Mrs. D, It. Yeoman, who have
land near Mr. Curlcss close to the fork
of the l'rinevllle and Redmond road.
The Yeoman have some lo acre ready
for flouring aud 40 acres fenced. Mr.
Curies), wno has just commenced opera
tions, with the intention of proving up

together with Andrew Moen, own a
four-horse grubbing machine, with
