The automobile road between Cres cent and Lake Odel and Crescent, which was constructed by lite Southern Paci6c men, Is in excellent condition. Roadmatter J. Howard has finished the bridge and grading through the Ues chuthea meadow at Crescent, hooking up with the automobile road. Mr. Hoey will make headquarters at the Iloey ranch, from which point he will superintend the construction uf the Na tron -Vale line toward Crescent. Joseph I Klngo has been appointed deputy surveyor of Klamath county and qualified. The appointment was made by Surveyor George Cline, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Rlngo left Saturday for a visit of mouth in the Willamette valley. They will stop at Portland and then go to Corvallis to at tend the quarter centcnlal celebration of the Agricultural College at Corvallis, of which institution both are graduate. Prom Corvallis they will go to Medford and Klamath Palls, returning here about June . Word lias been received that the firm ofMoflitt& Rogers of Seattle has ship ped the machinery for a sawmill which will be in operation here June Jo, The mill has a capacity of about 15,000 feet per day. Praxler of Myrtle Springs, Or., came in by auto mobile last week and invested in Cres cent lots. They are on a tour of the Deschutes valley and expressed them. selves as much pleased with prospects. An automobile line between Klamctb Palis and Bend, with headquarter at Crescent, will be installed June 10 as a result of a visit here last week df a party of Portland capitalists, including O. W. Olton, 12. Catlin and George S. Allen, who bae also Invested In Crescent realty. Mr. Olson is the owner of 320 acres of land within a half mile of the townsitc. Mr. Allen, a wealthy canning factory operator near Vancouver, Wash,, will have charge of of the automobile line. Machine will be run regularly between Dcnd and Klamath Palls, it Is stated. Don C.
