Mr. and Mrs. II. II. Houghton
have moved to Bend and will open
a restaurant in the Olc Kricksou
building on Dond street. They
hnvc named it "The California
Restaurant."
The city council has ordered side
walks and crossings along the south
side of Ohio street, which will pro
vide a continuous sidewalk from
the D. I. & P. Co. office to J. N.
Hunter's residence.
R. H. Mulzig will begin the erec
tion of a building on his lots at the
corntr of Wall and Oregon streets
as soon as he can get the lumber.
The building will be 20x50 feet
with a 17 foot ceiling.
Wm. Ferry and family arrived
from Hartline, Wash., last Friday,
having driven overland. Mr. Ferry
owns ditch land in the old river bed
section near the A O. Walker place
and will soon move upon it.
Dr. F M Van Snyder of North
Yakima, Wash., reached town Sat
urday, and says a large party of
Yakima people will arrive in a few
days, whom he will endeavor to
locate on land in this vicinity.
The Central Oregon Realty Co.
will begin soon the erection of a
house on its lots in the east part of
town. The structure will be 36x30
feet with 20 foot posts. It will be
occupied by Mrs. Daisy Drown.
