H. Davics returned to Bend last
Thursday in Mr. Davics' auto after
having spent a few weeks at the
Seattle exposition. They report a
very enjoyable time.
Mrs. Nettie Schultz and Mrs. R.
K. Corbin of near Rosland were
Bend visitors over Monday night,
coming down to bring Mrs.
Schulu's daughter, Etna, who will
attend school in Bend.
Dr. B. Ferrell will return to Bend
in about two weeks and will engage
in the prarticc of his profession.
During his absence the doctor has
had charge of a railroad hospital at
Nehalcm, on the construction of
the Tillamook line.

fishing boat for use on the Des
chutes, christening it the 'Liza Jane.
It was launched this week ami 35
tine trout were taken on the initial
trip. Mr. Shircman is an expert
boat builder and the 'Liza Jane is

led in very swift water.
