The apple trees on the old Col lins place, about two miles north of Betid, were loaded with their usual yield of fruit this year, but some one has made away with the crop, not waiting for the apples to ripen. McReynotds returned to Bend Monday evening from a trip through the Willamette valley to Portland, where he was called by the death of his aged father. Mr. McRcynolds was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C. L- Gist, of Gist, Mrs. Gist being a daughter of the deceased. The dates for the county fair this year will be on Oct. 19 to 23 in elusive.
