Hudson drove up to the George Jones home stead Saturday evening and spent Sunday fishing in the Deschutes in that vicinity. They report very good luck. S. C. Caldwell is having a new storage cellar built at the rear of his store. It has stone walls, and the roof will he covered with saw dust. It will make a fine, cool place in which to store butter, etc. W. R. I.nwsoti and family left yesterday on an over-land trip to Baiter City, and wilt spend the summer attending to business mat ters and visiting friends and rela tives in the eastern part of the state. He plays bb bass and has a $150 horn, and will be quite an addition to the local organization. Miss Nona Richardson expects to leave next Saturday to spend several weeks in Washington. She will attend the exposition at Seattle and then will visit at Walla Walla. She will go via Prineville where she will be joined by Miss Katie Dunsmore and the two will take in the exposition together. The band boys say there will be two hours of solid fun and laugh ter on Friday evening, July 2, and the occasion for all this fun will be their "nigger minstrel." It's a dandy, so they say. The cast comprises 18 characters, and every one of them is working hard to have his part properly learned. Remember the date and "be sure and attend if you enjoy a good hearty laugh. Harry Hill has just completed a fine new ice box, or refrigerator, for hi popular meat market. It is enclosed within double walls, with a large ice box above.
