week in and about Kosland, where
his company contemplates the re
clamation of several thousand acres
under the Carey Act. Mr. Aya
was in Bend last evening on his re
turn trip to Portland. An attempt
was made to interview him in re
gard to when his company would
begin work on its project, but he
stated that he bad nothing to say.
This was Mr. Aya's first visit to
these parts, and he expressed him--elf
as highly pleased with this sec
tion and believes it has a very
I right future.
A flair pole was put up ou the
chool building last Saturday and

weather will permit, and that will

-chool is taking part in the move
ment started by the Youth's Com
