neighborhood, was in Bend during
the week. IJe left this morning
for Portland in order to be at home
to vote.
Attorney P. II. Greenmau came
Over from Prineville Thursday
where he had appeared as counsel
in a case or two before the district
court. Mr. aud Mrs. Greenmau
are very much pleased with their
new home at Eugene.
A. B. Estebeuett is expected in
Bend today from Prineville. It is
reported that he will not come
back to Bend to reside but will re
turn to Shaniko, where he has been
employed for some time past as
night clerk in the Shaniko hotel.
The D. I. & P. Co. crew are
working on lateral B five miles east
of Bend. This lateral will water
the Catlin-I'nu ranch aud other
land In that vicinity. The crew is
composed of 40 men and 20 teams
nnd the -work is progressing rapidly.
