use, the little chap picked up the

will do so and thus save him the

Oeath of Alra C. A. Chapman.
About a week or 10 days ago Mrs.
C A Chapman was brought to
town from their Powc-II Butte home
stead, suffering from quite a severe

began to fail rapidly and passed
away Wednesday evening about
8 o'clock. The nature- of her ill
ness w:as a complication of peritoni
tis and pleurisy with an abscess
forming fit her right side, which
caused severe .suffering. Dr. Ed
wards of Priticville w.ii called in
consultation with I)r Turley, but
her illness was too n utc for medi
cal skill to avail.
She leaves a sot rowing husband
and daughter to m m her loss, a
young man sou, Ci 1 having been
accidcutly killed uln-wi two years
ago when digging a wt.ll
The funeral services will be held
tomorrow morning(aud interment
will be made in the Deud cemetery.
Mrs. Carl Chapman, daughter-in-law
of the deceased, is expected to
arrive in Rend today to be present
at the funeral.
