Rules that Must Be Observed by the FUherrpen. Since the first of tbe month Bend fishermen bare been ver busy along the Deschutes and goodly strings of toothsome trout are being caught daily. For the benefit of these fisherman, we give below the substance of the most important provisions of the law governing the catching of trout: 1. It shall be unlawful to take, catch, kill or have in possession, any trout except salmon trout dur ing the months 0 November, De cember,' January, February and March of any year. 2. It shall be unlawful at any time to take, catch or kill or have in possession at any time, any trout, char or salmon less than five inches in length. 3. It shall be unlawful to take, catch or kill at any time in the waters of this state, any trout b any means whatever except with hook and line. 4. It shall be unlawful for an) person to take, kill or capture more than 125 trout in one day. 5 Any violation of any of these provisions is punishable by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than ?ioo.
