than to recommend that a route be

preached Hit excellent .sermon Tues
day evening. His text was "Hvcry
good gift and every jicrfect gift is
from above and cometh down from
thePathorof lights, with whom is
no variableness, neither shadow of
turning." Our people showed
interest and appreciation, as they
listened with rapt attention to this
eloquent discourse. Ilcud paid
both their elder and pastor in fuil
for the first quarter a good .start
for the building up of the M. K,
church in this place. All credit
due to our people at Hcnd. Victory

Under the new ruling the levying
for the road fund i reduced from
3; j mill in 1905 to 1 'J mills for
1906, This makes practically no
allowance for the new roads that
increased development will demand
On the other hand, the county
fund the fund from which the
court house can be built will be
increased from $21,533,52 in 1905
to 17, 138. 45 in ryoG, an increase
of ?25,6i5. That is the way
Prinevillc plans to be beautified
while the roads will suffer an im
provement badly n coded by every
one and especially in Western
Crook.
The Time to Act.
The present move shows a de
termination to cud this glaring rob
lwry whereby Prinevillc is beauti
fied at the expense of the taxpay
ers. Prinevillc papers have here
tofore announced that many build
ings should be erected before the
population increased enough to al
low Western Crook to outvote them
and thus defeat their robbery.
Those days nud methods arc about
ended and everyoue hereabouts
is looking forward to the time
when the people's money will be
spent for the people's good in the
new county about to be born.
