doctor has a tract of land.
Karl McKenuctt who has this
spring taken a homestead near Bend,
received word Thursday of the
death of his father, John McKcu
nett, nt Milwaukee, Wis. He died
nt the age of 67 years.
A team of good horses was stolen
from D. A, Fiudlay, of Rosluud,

and sold, Friday the thief was

and will be brought to justice,

came over to Ilend Inst week tocou
suit with Dr. Coc 011 Mrs. Morgan
stern's case. An operation was
performed and the patient is doing
nicely.

turned Moudny from the hot
springs, at the head of the John
Day river, and report hunting and
fishing excellent in that locality.
They had been absent from Rend
two weeks.

Charles Royd returned this week
from Phillipsburg, Mont., his for

for some time. Mr. Drake has ripe
strawberries and in a number of

radishes, onions and lettuce in
plenty.
