hero last Friday evening and will
take homestead and probably

They arc old friends of the family

his homestead. At first he will
build 16.x jo which will later serve as
kitchen for the completed structure

William Iluckley. father or W.
J. Iluckley, is expected to arrive
here Saturday evening from Pull
man, Washington, to look over the
Deschutes valley. It might be
added in this connection that a
number of homecckcrs at Pullman
are waiting reports from him con
cerning thiK section and their de
cisions to take land here will be
largely governed by his opinions.
Clifford M. King, who came out
from Ohio last .spring and was iden
tified with the engineer corps of I
the I). I. & P. Co. until March, is
now stationed at Hnisc, Idaho, us
aide in the U. S. geological survey

position to go into the government
service, lie is a graduate of Cor
nell University and young man of
