Porter i nearly completed,. The

will le run by G. S. Livingston, of

yard in the center with Malls on

The saloon and restaurant ofDcb
ing $i. Whitsctt, situated on Hond
street next to The Ofilcp saloon, is
well tinder way. This structure is
32x50 with a partition through the
center hcpnrattug the restaurant
from thebnr-roopt, It is expected
the building wil be ready lo oc
cupy in about thirty days.
Caldwell & Satchwcll are having
four rooms finished ofl in the
back part qf their store building.
As soon as they arc completed the
Satchwcll family will occupy tjtcm
for the winter.
C. C. Triplett is building a three
room cottage on n one acre lot he
purchased on the Cqttor claim. It
is just cast of J. I. WcstS place.
The cottage is 12x04 feet with an
L 1 2X1 8 feet.
Tho boys of the Haul Cornet
band have leased a piece of ground
back of the Pilot Huttc Inn and
have erected a building of one
room 12x16 feet to be Used as a
practice hall
Word James completed n cottage
12x14 the first of the week and has
moved his family in. It is situated
on the flat on the east side of rock
ledge back of the school house.
H. C. Low Is building n bam
16x24 and 10 feet high on the Lytic
towusite. He is also having the
hall oyer his store drvTded into
three living rooms and a hall.
The workmen will finish papering
and decorating the O'Neill cottage
on Iroitwood avenue this weekI
when Duncan McMillan and family
will move into it.
J. A. Boyd last week purchased
a ono-acrc lot on the Cottor claim
and this week completed there a
cattage 10x13 feet.
John Steidl had a wood shed
10x12 added to his lfottse the latter
part of last week.
J. C Carter this- week built an
addition 12x30 to the barn on the
Cottor place.
Wright, ot the livery . firm of
Porter & Wright, has been absent
from Bend all the week and his
financial affairs are in such unsatis
factory condition tha,t he is not ex
pected to return. Mr. Porter an
nounces that he will hereafter con
duct the business aloue.
