Weidcr secretary. A committee to
draft constitution nnd by-laws for

cd, consisting of Mr. Ovcrturf,
Miss Iva West mid Rolla C. Stone.
A programme committee consist
ing of Miss F, McCanri, Miss Mag
gie Autic and S. D. Pcrcival, wan
appointed.
Mr. Ovcrturf proposed the follow
ing resolution for the opening de
bate next Wednesday evening.
Resolved, that the orders with
drawing from entry lands of
Oregon cast of the Cascade mount
ains, with a view to creating forest
reserves, should be rescinded.
The chair was directed to name
the leaders for the debate, the lead
ers thus named to select their own
assistants and the entire debate to
be limited to 40 minutes. J. C.
Meeker was appointed to lead the
affirmative and J. II. Ovcrturf the
negative Kach will probnbly se
lect two assistants.
Hesides the debate there will be
a varied programme of music and
other numbers and general business,
including the permanent organiza
tion of the society. Ail arc invited
to attend the meeting.
