S. freshmen giving it tbe first Jolt by defeating the H. S. sophomores 4-1, last Friday. The uper classmen had been slated for a win in a fairly close game but the yearlings took adavsntage of a wob bly streak In the sophs’ pitching staff and put. over the winning runs early in tbe game. Tbe second spill for the dope buck et came in the defeat of the Acade my freshmen by tbe Academic sec ond year team. Followers of the two nines had the beginners listed for an easy win, but a decided knock of meeting the mound offerings with safe hits and the losers backing up a skyrocketing pitcher by nothing but errors gave the sophs an un questioned victory with a 12 to 6 score. Tuesday afternoon the H. S. sophs and Grammar school teams crossed bats but tbe final score bad not come in as this went to press. Friday the Academy and H. S. freshmen are scheduled to clash on the college dia mond. In an earlier game the N. H. S. supporters were victorious and the Academic bat swingers are vowing to even the score if possible this time. Junior League Standings It really is, this art o f lookin g oool and n ifty , these hot summer days. But it’s easily acquired. His linen has had the benefit o f a process o f oars w hich closes the pores o f the fabric, strengthen» the fibres, and protects from grit and grime.
