THE PRESBYTERIAN PICNIC
The Presbyterian annual Sunday
school picnic was held Tuesday. Au
gust 9. at Thom's ferry. Everyone
was moving every second of the time.
We left the ehureb about 10 o’clock
Tuesday morning in Mr. Newman’s
truck. There were many who went
and took others in their private cars.
We reached our destination about
11: SO.
After eating our dinner
most of the young people went in
bathing.
Then came the sports,
racee (boys and girls), string chew
ing contests, and plum eating con
tests. In spite of all that we could
do the time soon came to go home.
The big truck started towards home
jammed full. It had a flat tire and
Was about 2 hours getting that fix
ed. We reached Newberg about 9:30.
Everyone reported having a good
time. Most of us are looking for
ward to next August when we can
have our next annual picnic.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parrett have
been tending Fred’s place during his
absence.
We received word from. Rev. Tabor
and he is having a good time. He
enjoys especially a visit with moth

Let us hear of a better record.

attended the ” 01’ Swimmin Hole”
