The school election on Monday af­ ternoon developed into more than us­ ual interest at the laat moment and. although there was only one candi­ date on the ticket, the largest vote, where no other than election of a director wa» concerned, in the history of local school elections was the re­ sult. . The school meeting was called to order in the grammer school build­ ing at 1:30 p. m. and the annual re­ port of the school clerk was read and accepted. This waB the only business before-the meeting with the exception of the election of a director. The voting on director commenced at about 2 p. m. and lasted until 7 .o’clock. The result of this elec­ tion being Vincent 230 and Hubbard M. Mr. Vincent has served as a direc­ tor for the past term and has made a very capable official. He la con­ scientious and capable and the large vote given him is a splendid tribute to his former service.
