Clifford Noble la home from the hospital in Newberg and is getting along nicely after his operation for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Baker and Mr. and Mrs. William Muir of Spring- brok spent Sunday with their pa­ rents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Deach, in honor of Mother’s Day. The Eighth graders "of Ewing Young very much enjoyed a party given in their honor at the home of Mrs. Washbond, their teacher. The Eighth graders are: Floyd Shaw, Donnie Smith and Wilbur Baker. A few others were present also. Mrs. Harry Davis recently under­ went an operation in a Portland hos­ pital and at last reports she was get­ ting along splendidly. A large number were out to {he Sunday school social, given at the church, last Friday night. The chil­ dren were" especially well represent­ ed.
