Dear Sir— Replying to yours of
October 7th. regarding the Improve­
ment of the road from Newberg to
Yamhill as an extension of the
Wood burn-Newberg road to connect
with the three highways leading
In that vielntty have tended not
only to familiarise me with this
thoroughfare, but have impressed
me with Its importance.

As a proper mode of procedure I
would suggest that this proposition

and Commissioners with a view to
its designation as a road to he im­
proved under the market road AeL
In this way the road w ill be
brought to the attention o f the
State Highway Commission and the
Commission will give it careful con­
sideration.
I sincerely hope that you may
succeed in your endeavors to have
this road improved aa it is a very
Important artery of transportation
and w ill prove a valuable adjunct
to the highway system.

Comlsloners, the following proceed­
ings were had, to-wlt:

Newberg through the south side of

erly along a deeded right of way
heretofore accepted by the County
Court o f YamhiU County, Oregon,
and declared to be a county road, to
the City of Yamhill, in YamhiU
County, Oregon, there la an Impor­
tant artary of transportation and
a valuable adjunct to transporta­
tion which would be iu affect an
extension of the Wood burn-New-*
berg road to connect the three
highways leading west abd south-

only the north one-third of the
county of Yamhill, but, as evidenced
by a petition filed herein, the tax
payers and business men of the City
of McMlnnvllia as well, are favor­
ably disposed toward the improve­
ment of said road and also aa evi­
